Sedirea japonica L. Linden & Rchb. f. is a species which belongs to the genus Sediera, sub-tribe Aeridinea. Native to the Nago-mountain of southern japan, where it’s commonly know as “Nago-ran”. They grow as epiphytes in the wild forest of the mountains at elevations of about 330 ft. Ideal environment for the growth of these plants is they require moderate light with cool to intermediate warm temperature of 68 to 80 degrees. With a bearing fragrance of lemon-citrus in them, the flowers bloom during the months of January to March with a cream white and hint of purple in their petals. Normal heights for these plants are 15cm with growing space from 6-15cm and ideal pH of the media between 6.1 to 6.5.
